Maybe if you''ve been to the island a few times already, a visit to Bulgaria will give you something fresh and new, and the capital Sofia will more than satisfy with its impressive list of globally recognised clubs (not to mention the fact that they won''t be half as expensive as their Ibizan alternatives). Similarly out of the way is the Greek island resort of Kos, perhaps not a household name in the same way as Ibiza or even Bulgaria, but certainly a place to consider if you fancy a weekend of clubbing without such a huge number of other tourists with you. Often what you need at the end of an interminable Monday-to-Friday nonstop week is to sit around at home drinking tea and watching daytime telly. But every now and again slipping away for a short break on the continent can offer a unique combination of calm and activity in a way that just sitting on the sofa for two days simply won''t.
