Low cost airlines like EasyJet have revolutionised air travel, and they've also completely changed the shape of aviation. London, for example, has become a major air travel hub, boasting no fewer than five commercial airports, all of which handle hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of travellers each year. Getting to and from London's airports is quite easy, but can generally be quite expensive. The rail links that run from the centre of London and from a number of other stations are quick, but they can be quite relatively costly. Still, the expense of taking the train is dwarfed by the costs associated with taking your car to the airport and parking in long-stay. Regardless of the cost of petrol, airport parking can easily be four or five times the cost of a train fare. On the other hand, the convenience of driving is greater, you don't have to worry about dragging your luggage through turnstiles, nor do you need to worry about delays in the public transport system, and that is why, for many, the convenience of driving (or even better, getting a friend to drive you and not having to pay for the parking) is difficult to ignore. By far the cheapest option ? even including car ? is to get the EasyBus. EasyBus is a coach service like many others that runs from the heart of London with the exception that it is extremely cheap ? tickets start at as little as two pounds. Whilst the EasyBus is a wonderful proposition, saving that much money can never be a bad thing, there are a few things to be aware of. First, the tickets are not all two pounds, they start at two pounds so the earlier you book the cheaper, although even if you're late they're still cheaper than the majority of coach services. You do, also, have to make sure that you know where the bus stops. The Victoria Bus Stop that runs to Stansted, for example, is not all that easy to find from the exit of the tube station, particularly if you're not familiar with that part of London. Of course, these are little gripes, even if the price is closer to ten than two pounds (if you don't book early) the convenience of having someone else drive you to the airport, and not having to worry about dragging your luggage through train turnstiles is more than worth it. Just make sure you book early.
