Individual objects are depicted with their distinguishing features and, therefore, are easily recognizable. On the other hand, distances do not always correspond to the reality, now and then the landscape can be slightly reduced or distorted because the stress is placed on the representation of objects. The named type of maps enjoys high popularity because of their nice appearance, informative filling and easiness in use. Despite scale distortions they are excellent for navigating while planning an excursion or searching for a certain place.
