Budget is as budget does

By: Thanh Rabuse

The recent global recession has not helped people in trying to keep track of their money, and now more than ever people are trying to make it go further. Everyone is currently searching for some sort of way to make what little they have last that little bit longer. Thankfully, the enormous success in recent years of the budget businesses that offer incredibly cheap deals for things that really shouldn't be that cheap are helping people out.

However, these companies to not account for absolutely everything. For example, everyone knows that in this day and age it is entirely plausible to get stupidly cheap flights, an all-inclusive hotel and food deal for an incredibly cheap amount and to keep to a sensible spending regime when you are out there.

The difficulties occur in those little fiddly crossover stages. Granted, your air fare, your accommodation and your dining has been taken care of, but what about physically transporting yourself to the airport in the first place?

Budget airlines are budget for the explicit reason that they cut costs; if they only have to operate out of one airport they will do. If you happen to live in one of the most remote places in the country and need to be at Manchester Airport with the minimum of hassle and the maximum of haste then you may be in for an expensive ride.

Similarly, if you find yourself in the centre of London and don't want to be hauling your luggage through the various channels of the underground then you are in a bit of a pickle. While it may be a bit more of an issue for those out of the capital, those of you lucky enough to live in or near the city are in for a bit of good luck.

Easyjet have launched a new bus service, the details of which can be found on their website easybus.co.uk. This travels from areas all over London to Luton, Stansted and Gatwick for the paltry price of two pounds one way. The best part is that you don't even have to be flying with easyjet to make use of the service.

The website Easybus.co.uk should be your first port of call as it is here that you can get the best deals should you book online and in sufficient time. You can however, also book from the driver should the need arise, the bus functioning like a normal service in this regard.

Unfortunately, tickets can't be bought from the driver however on the Luton route, but if you are really making the most of your budget experience you will have booked well in advance. It just goes to show, that the people really looking to keep their expenditure to the minimum really can, should they be prepared to look for the deals.
