We have seen the countless pipes we tend to find him running through in so many levels of his video games but never saw him in reality doing any plumbing work. Mario has no identifiable inherent talents or abilities other than running. All of the special attributes which gamers have observed Mario with essentially come from stuff he picks up and uses. He is able to transform into Super Mario by way of the Super Mushroom. The Fire Flower causes him to turn into Mario on Fire. Another example of an item that gives Mario enhanced powers is the star. The star actually makes Mario unstoppable. He is capable to beat each and every one of the bad guys by means of one stroke. There are so many more specific hot spots in his video games that bestow him supernatural advantages in order to obliterate his foes.
