Great kids activity ideas in Kent

There are 2 Go Ape centres in Kent, one in Bedgebury Forest and one at Leeds Castle. Both allow kids to swing like Tarzan, cross rope bridges, explore forests from up in the treetops. Children need to be 10 years or older to take part.

The Chislehurst Caves are a great place for a day out with the kids, but the new Labyrinthe activity centre makes it even more fun for them. Set in a medieval fantasy world, this is a role playing activities game that takes place every Saturday.

Kent Life at Lock Lane in Sandling is a vast family fun park where children can learn all about local wildlife and agriculture. With more than 28 acres to explore, there are play areas, hands on fun and an animal cuddle corner too.

Groombridge Place Gardens and Enchanted Forest is located close to Tunbridge Wells, and you will find beautiful gardens to explore, birds of prey, canal boat rides and plenty of playgrounds for the children as well as calendar full of events and activities designed for children.

The world of Charles Dickens is celebrated in fine style at Dickens World at Chatham Maritime. The sights, sounds and smells of the 19th century come alive as you wander through sets from each of the Dickens novels, and children can learn about the period and the books too.

Chiddingstone Castle is a beautiful historic landmark close to Edenbridge. As well as exploring the castle and its grounds, there are regular activities for children, including dressing up, games and crafts, and they can learn hieroglyphics in the Egyptian Room too.

Children can have fun making their very own feature film at the Folkestone Film Factory. Designed to help children aged ten to sixteen learn all about the film making process, the centre teaches editing, script writing, camera work and more.

With more than a hundred breeds of farm animals, and its own hawking centre where you can see birds of prey and flying displays, children love a day out to Farming World. Farming World is located at Faversham, and there are fun workshops and games for kids here too.
