The Google page 1 spot is the Holy Grail for almost any online business wishing to succeed. Although Google may not be the only search engine out there, it does still take well over 70% of all search traffic in the western world, and should therefore be taken rather seriously by anyone wishing to have their website business found by potential customers. As a website business owner myself, I have long been keen to see my own site appear on Google’s first page. As anyone who uses Google knows, even the simplest search will often produce millions of results. A search for ‘Google page 1’ currently brings up 558 million results - that’s over half a billion websites all competing! Yet the truth is that 90% of people searching online never look past the first two pages of results. Just think - out of the 55 million pages of results, only 2 pages will ever be seen by the overwhelming majority of potential customers. That means only 0.0000003% of relevant companies are being found. But knowing how important it is to get my site to the top of the search results is one thing - actually achieving it is quite another. I have looked online for internet marketing strategies, and tried various ideas - with precious little success. The problem is that I’m a businessman - not a marketing expert. My time has to be spent running my business, not selling it as well. I have neither the time nor the expertise to promote my website to Google page 1. Having given up trying to get my website business on to Google page 1 myself I decided to follow the advice of a friend who’d hired an online marketing guru to do the work instead. I approached the guy, who struck me as being very down to earth and understanding. I’d had a few close scrapes with flashy SEO companies which were all about glitz and show rather than proven results. I didn’t want that, and it didn’t seem that this guy thought much of those approaches either. Fortunately the guy I approached was both knowledgeable and understanding, and recommended a two-fold approach that combined natural, organic optimization methods as well as the pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns too. I was certainly impressed with his style and approach, and once he’d ascertained the information he needed about me, my company and my aims, he got his team to work straight away. Although my initial reason for choosing the guy was because he was recommended to me by someone, one of the main advantages he presented to me was that he didn’t want any money. He claimed that he was so confident that he could make such a massive difference to my business’s online presence that he only wanted payments released once he had demonstrated that the methods worked. In effect, it meant that I had a huge amount to gain, with nothing at all to lose. I’m not sure how much I was really expecting from this guy and his team. He certainly seemed very friendly and knowledgeable, but having failed myself with various SEO tactics I wasn’t sure what he could really achieve. But I was astonished at not only what he and his team managed to achieve - but the speed with which they got my website business to Google page 1. The sales just rolled in, with ten times the amount in extra revenue coming in than he charged for his service. If you’ve ever looked for SEO companies online you’ll know that there are some pretty odd people, and some rather dubious tactics being used. The guy I used doesn’t use black hat techniques - it’s all natural organic SEO and PPC, applied in a truly professional way. My sales figures are through the roof, and entirely down to my site’s position on Google page 1. With payment only due after the results are proven - I recommend him wholeheartedly.
