If some mentions Ibiza to you there''s probably one thing you immediately think of: clubs. Indeed, the island''s nightlife is justly famous and for devout clubbers the island is a paradise. However, this isn''t the only thing Ibiza has to offer: here is a quick guide to a few of its other delights.

Ibiza is the third largest of Spain''s Balearic Islands and lies in the Mediterranean Sea. The island has its own airport which is the most popular method of getting there and back, there are alternatives however. One is to sail: there are numerous cruises running from mainland Spain to the island, or you can take a cruise of all the Balearic Islands which includes Majorca and Minorca.

When it comes to getting around the island itself a popular option is to rent a hire car. However if you don''t fancy trying to navigate Spanish roads there is also a relatively good bus and train service.

Ibiza hotels are what you''d expect from so popular a holiday destination: varied and common. Whatever your budget and preference there''ll be one to suit you. Holiday-goers who are sticking to a strict budget should check-out somewhere like Hostal Norte or Piscis Park, both hotel complexes with their own pool and cheap accommodation.

Luxury seekers will also find plenty to tempt them on the island. Hotel Royal Plaza, Villa Can Maries or Le Torre Del Canoningo are just a few of the island''s more impressive and glamorous locations. Another option is to rent your own villa for the duration of your stay. These can be expensive, but if you''re travelling with a large group the benefits far outweigh the costs.

When it comes to Ibiza''s nightlife it can be difficult to know where to start. Two of the best places to begin your experience of Ibiza''s famously riotous night-scene are Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni, both of which lie to the west of the island. Ibiza''s clubbing season runs from the beginning of June to the first weekend of October. If you''re looking for a really special night out it''s a good idea to remember these dates: the season opens with huge parties at amazing venues like Space and DC10''s opening parties and ends with wild nights across the island as people party for the last time.

If you time your visit properly you might even be in on a world exclusive as many DJs use their sets at Ibiza clubs to release new material. Clubs normally open in the early evening and close at sunrise ? if you can, try and stay up to watch the sunrise. Some of Ibiza''s most famous clubs are Gala Night, Space, Eden, Es Paradis and Amnesia.

Of course, Ibiza isn''t all clubs. The island''s tourist board are working hard to promote the islands numerous other attractions. The beaches are one of the most immediately obvious: their beautiful white sands provide the perfect location in which to spend a relaxing day. For some truly beautiful natural scenery the Las Salinas Salt Flats are worth a visit. The Can Mar?a Caves also provide a glimpse into a world of smuggling and golden caves.
