Miami is home to many theaters, museums, parks and performing arts centers. Young and old alike seeking a more informal diversion may be interested in the Miami Metro Zoo, rated among the top 10 in the country. A visit to the Metro Zoo simulates the feel of a safari, displaying more than 1,200 animals in their natural habitats. There's a giraffe feeding station, camel rides, tram tours, water play areas and a monorail. The Miami Metro Zoo is open daily from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Miami Seaquarium presents another fun family outing. This 38-acre tropical paradise offers daily performances featuring eight unique marine animal shows including dolphins and killer whales. This facility offers entertaining sea lions, as well as the opportunity to enjoy seeing endangered manatees and sea turtles in a safe environment. Gift shops and food outlets are located throughout the park. Daily hours range from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Those adults already familiar with the fame and beauty of the Miami skyline may wish to relax and unwind after hours at one of the city's rooftop lounges.
