Prayer Wall | Today's Prayer

By: Joseph Mas

The bible clearly states that where two come together in His name he will be in the midst of them. Prayers are like a pleasing incense to God. Jesus also said in the bible “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8).

Post a Praise Prayer
By praising God, we are reminded of Gods great power! His power and presence in our lives is reinforced in our understanding. "Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant" (Psalm 135:3).
When you pray, you are building your faith as you see God’s hand do His mighty work on your behalf just because you asked in prayer. Posting a praise prayer on a prayerwall shows the world that you are greatful for His blessings.

Post a Daily Praise Prayer
Albert Einstein said, “There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Once we’re in the habit, prayers of praise are often spontaneous. They also lend themselves well to devotional or scriptural styles of prayer. Some people struggle with the idea that God wants or needs our praise. They find it odd that a Supreme Being would require praise from His created unless He also had a Supreme Ego. Please feel free to set aside those kinds of thoughts.

The Importance of Daily Prayer
Jesus taught us the importance of daily prayer. He said, “Always pray, never lose heart” (Luke 18:1). He also said to converse with God day and night (Luke 18:7). When He taught His disciples to pray, He told them to ask God for their daily needs (Luke 11:3).

Pray without Ceasing
The Bible tells us to pray on all occasions, making our requests known to God (Ephesians 6:18). Scripture tells us to pray without stopping (1 Thessalonians 5:17). It tells us never to worry about anything, and to thank God for what He has already provided (Philippians 4:6).

Praising God with Prayers
Do you know that praising God is the best thing to do first before anything else? Have you ever been in a situation that you feel all alone? Or have you encountered a difficult situation in your life and you don't know what to do, like losing your job or suffering the loss of someone very close to your heart? Consider the good times such as when you receive a raise from your boss or earn high marks at school? What do you usually do during these moments? Praising God makes every circumstance of our lives complete, essential, and eminently worthwhile.

Prayer is biblical
In the Bible, you will find kings, prophets, and ordinary people like you and me, averted destruction by praying to God. One prayer stopped the sun, one prayed fire down from heaven, one gained fifteen years to his own life, and one prayer even saved a whole city. These people prayed intensely to the God who answers prayer.

Prayer Causes Blessings
God inhabits the atmosphere of praise. Psalm 22:3 says, "But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel (KJV). If we want to see a clear manifestation of God's blessings and grace, all we need to do is to praise Him with all our heart, our mind, and our soul.
