Sheffield wedding venue ideas for your big day

Sheffield City Hall - for a wedding in the city centre, the 1930s art deco City Hall is a historic setting close to all of the city centre amenities you could wish for. This renowned concert hall can cater for a range of wedding party sizes, with evening receptions of up to 350 people and ceremonies for up to 120 guests in the South Hall, as well as its own ballroom. A range of other rooms are available for smaller celebrations, and the City Hall has its own team of experienced wedding planners to help you decorate, choose entertainment as well as cuisine.

The Red Lion Hotel at Todwick - this venue makes for a perfect country hotel wedding setting. Great for wedding celebrations on a smaller scale, the Red Lion can cater for up to 70 guests for seated meals, with a total capacity for 90 guests in all. Bradfield Village Hall - a contemporary building in the heart of the beautiful village of Bradfield, just outside of Sheffield, this venue offers modern facilities in a quaint countryside setting. Your guests can enjoy the extensive lawns outside, with lovely views over the local cricket pitch. All types of cuisine can be catered for, and the Hall has room for up to 400 guests.

The magnificent Kenwood Hall is perfect for those looking for a secluded countryside spot for their special day. With extensive grounds stretching to 12 acres, including parkland and woodland, as well as romantic landscaped gardens perfect for wedding photography, guests can also enjoy a summer BBQ in the Hall gardens in the summer months.

A truly historic venue, Woodthorpe Hall dates back to the 17th century and remains a privately own property on a grand scale, with a fantastic rural setting. Just a stones throw from the Peak District, but close to Sheffield, weddings can take place in the extensive gardens or in the historic, and still used Cider Press building.

Its 12th century heritage as a former coaching house, as well a its unique architecture, has earned The Norfolk Arms Grade II listed status. The property is beautiful and features 12 luxury bedrooms, including a wedding suite with 4-poster bed, with views out over Mayfield Valley and the Peak District.

A venue with lots of character, a long history and a much-loved traditional public house too, The Plough Inn is great for smaller wedding celebrations. As well as winning awards for it hospitality and its fine real ale selections, you will find hearty traditional food and a sunny beer garden with a special play area for children.
