Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format that captures all elements of a printed document as an electronic image that can be viewed, navigated or printed. PDF files allows the individual to capture and view robust information from almost any platform and share with anyone, anywhere. Created by Adobe in 1993, PDF files are created using Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Capture, or similar products. The files can be viewed and used with Acrobat Reader.
