Because Texas Holdem involves a great deal more hands played, there is a lot more gambling involved, and smaller returns available. Both of these Holdem games show that poker has something for everyone. If you are looking for a fast-paced game to play for fun then Texas Holdem has what you are looking for. But if you are a serious player looking for a serious game, then give Omaha a try. Texas Holdem is a hugely popular game, so you will always find plenty of games on offer, often with lots if novices playing. If you are new to poker, it makes sense to start off with a bit of Holdem, as your losses will be small, and it is a game that allows even the most inexperienced player the chance to win something.
