The Verizon iPhone pre-order inventory which was opened up to customers at exactly 3am on Thursday had hardly circulated among anxious customers before it was shut down at approximately 7.30pm (15hrs later). Customers are now required to wait until the 9th of February to make their order online. The question is wouldn't thesame thing happen again? If there was an issue with offline distribution, how many people will the online distribution be able to satisfy? However, retails sales are expected to open up to customers on the 10th of February at Apple and Bestbuystores,including Verizon too. so there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel. At least, lovers who are geared up to surprising their partners this year with the iPhone may not be put to shame by the giant distributors.
